What are Unicode games?

Unicode games are browser games whose entire visual presentation is built from Unicode characters — letters, numbers, box-drawing lines, mathematical symbols and playing-card glyphs — rather than from bitmap sprites or downloaded images. Because the "graphics" are just text, the games are tiny, load instantly, and look perfectly crisp on any screen at any zoom level.
